The first house (today houses 2 and 3) was built by Mrs. Celia and her husband about 100 years ago. Over the years they bought the second house (today house 1), which until a few years ago was used as a barn, and in 2012 the Casas Emblemáticas in Hoya de Tunte were renovated as Casas Rurales y Emblemáticas, situated near a traditional Canarian village, San Bartolomé de Tirajana, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city and surrounded by nature. The houses have been restored respecting as far as possible the original essence and materials, some of which (old doors, windows, etc.) have been recycled without renouncing all the comforts required by our way of life today.
