The city of Lucca offers a lot – the intact town wall which secludes the historical centre and unique in its art. Elegant boutiques and fancy stores make your heart beat faster. The old town of Lucca has a special flair, which attracts every year thousands and thousands of tourists. Lucca is also known to be the city of birth of the well-known opera writer Giacomo Puccini, which is appreciated in the whole world! There are many cultural events (concerts, exhibitions), all year over, which are dedicated to the Maestro. Torre del Lago is only 25 km from the historical centre of Lucca – the composer lived there many years – an open-air theatre was built, which is the yearly host of the Puccini opera festival.
