The city of Lucca offers a lot – the intact town wall which secludes the historical centre and unique in its art. Elegant boutiques and fancy stores make your heart beat faster. There are classical and rock/pop/jazz concerts for music fans. Enjoy a prosecco in one of the beautiful piazzas and taste the traditional dishes in a typical trattoria of the town. The art cities of Tuscany and the coast of the Versilia can easily be reached by bus or train. Azalea lies a few steps from Piazza Napoleone meeting point of young people and stage for many events and from the beautiful Piazza San Michele and the cathedral S. Martino. The old town of Lucca has a special flair, which attracts every year thousands and thousands of tourists. Lucca could protect over all the years its arts treasures thank to its town wall; to mention are for example: the amphitheatre, the dome of San Martino and the wonderful church of San Michele or “palazzo Pfanner” which was chosen for film sets, because of its beauty, by many film directors, i.e. “portrait of a lady” by Jane Campion with Nicole Kidman. Lucca is also known to be the city of birth of the well-known opera writer Giacomo Puccini, which is appreciated in the whole world! There are many cultural events (concerts, exhibitions), all year over, which are dedicated to the Maestro. Torre del Lago is only 25 km from the historical centre of Lucca – the composer lived there many years – an open-air theatre was built, which is the yearly host of the Puccini opera festival. The apartment is located on the 3rd floor of an ancient “palazzo”: it is very bright and has magnificent views onto different angles of the centre. Entrance: 1 twin bedroom, 1 small living room with upholstered furniture, TV, 1 twin bedroom, dining room with table, 1 bathroom with shower, wc, bidet, washing machine, 1 small ante-bathroom with basin and mirror, kitchen with stove, oven, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment. Tessieri tiled floors, simple furnishings but convenient for holidays.
