Fine & Country are delighted to present this superb contemporary 5 bedroom property was constructed in 2022, features an EPC rating B, a separate self contained annexe and is flooded with natural light."Set in an area steeped in Britain's neolithic history, this modern and contemporary barn style property was constructed in 2022 and offers light, airy, spacious interiors. The large kitchen is an excellent space for the whole family to gather, and the excellent bedroom accommodation and annexe ensures there is plenty of room for guests"Edward Taylor - DirectorSeller Insight:What is your favourite room of the house and why?In these days of casual dining the kitchen becomes the hub of the home and is a wonderful place for sitting with friends. We also love our bedroom; it has a lofty ceiling but still feels snug and it offers total peace, and where else could you wake up to that wonderful view! Who do you think would be the next ideal owner? The house offers so much: it would suit a family, as it offers plenty of space but would be great for a couple as it is easy to manage; it could also easily accommodate a dependent relative with its ground floor bedroom and adjacent shower room. There's also a fully fitted annexe with its own entrance. Teenager's den or an excellent home office? What do you love most about the house and why? What we love most is that the house is so light and airy and offers wonderful views in every direction, especially sunsets. What do you love about the local community? The community is friendly and unstuffy, and there are great walks right from our front door. Several good pub/restaurants close by too.How easy is it to commute from here?Access to the motorway is quick and easy in either direction, and mainline stations (Swindon, Chippenham and Pewsey) all within an easy drive. What made you choose this property over others that were available at the time?We chose this house for its fantastic accommodation and location and its imaginative and practical design features. It's a lovely place to live.Accommodation Summary:Ground Floor: On entering Long Barrow View, one is immediately struck by the wealth of natural light that floods the entrance hall. Double doors open to the magnificent triple aspect living room which features dual double patio doors, a Bath stone fireplace and partially vaulted ceiling. The 24ft kitchen room is the perfect space to gather with family and guests, offering ample space to dine. The fitted kitchen is equipped with extensive two-tone painted units with white quartz worktops set around a central island unit finished with a stone worktop. There is a collection of integrated appliances including a Rangemaster with induction hob. Adjoining the kitchen is a utility room with rear access, perfect for bringing in muddy wellies and paws. The ground floor bedroom has an adjacent shower room, which could easily be made an ensuite if required. A further study with lift completes the ground floor accommodation. Long Barrow View is very energy efficient and features a Daikin air-source heat pump and has EPC rating of B.First Floor:On the first floor, an impressive, vaulted landing leads to bedrooms, dressing room (with lift) family bathroom, and further shower room. Meanwhile, the principal bedroom benefits from a private en-suite bathroom fitted with a luxurious freestanding bath and rainfall shower. The first floor affords excellent vantage points from which to enjoy the surrounding views and in addition, the second bedroom benefits further with a Juliet balcony. Annexe:The self-contained annexe above the double garage is fitted with kitchenette and shower room and could be extended further by converting the space below.Outside: The wrap around garden provides the opportunity to catch the sun all day long, with a timber gazebo providing shade on one side. The driveway offers plenty of off-street parking in addition to the double garage.Location:The pretty village of East Kennet is set in the North Wessex Downs area of outstanding natural beauty and is close to the UNESCO world heritage site at Avebury.
