Zu Beginn des zwanzigsten Jahrhunderts war die Umwandlung des Foros de Salvaterra Realität, wobei die ausgedehnten Weinbergsplantagen und die großen Waldstücke (Eukalyptus- und Kiefernwald) deutlich sichtbar waren. Im Jahr 1934 wurde der Bau eines für die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung der Region sehr wichtigen Bauwerks abgeschlossen: der Magos-Staudamm, der größte hydrolandwirtschaftliche Staudamm, der jemals im Land getestet wurde. Nach und nach wurden die notwendigen Voraussetzungen für das Wachstum und die nachhaltige Entwicklung des Ortes geschaffen. Und mit großer Selbstverständlichkeit wurde das Dorf am 31. Dezember 1984 zur Pfarrei erhoben, was dem Wunsch mehrerer Generationen entsprach. Die landwirtschaftliche Entwicklung förderte auch andere Wirtschaftsbereiche wie Viehzucht, zivile Schlosserei, Möbelindustrie, Tischlerei, Bäckerei, Keramik, Bauwesen und Handel selbst. Historie farnosti Foros de Salvaterra je úzce spjata s historií okresního města (Salvaterra de Magos). Právě v něm vznikl a patřil mu až do 23. prosince 1984, kdy převzal status farnosti a přestal být "místem Foros de Salvaterra". Vrátíme-li se v čase, obec Salvaterra byla založena v roce 1295 listinou D. Dinise, který nařídil její osídlení. Jeho podnebí, úrodnost půdy a hojný lov motivovaly k tomu, aby se stal oblíbeným místem králů první dynastie. João I., «Mestre de Avis», se rozhodl, že se z něj stane coutada, a dal z něj několik darů. Atraktivita této země uchvátila v průběhu staletí další významné osobnosti portugalské i zahraniční společnosti. V roce 1845 se farní rada Salvaterra de Magos rozhodla vytvořit "chartu" této rozsáhlé oblasti, ve které se dnes nachází část obce. Cílem procesu bylo vyčistit všechny křoviny, které pokrývaly půdu, aby byla kultivovatelná. Rekultivace půdy byla úspěšná a objevily se nové způsoby využití půdy. To vše uchvátilo usazování lidí na těchto územích. Na počátku dvacátého století se tak proměna Foros de Salvaterra stala realitou, přičemž byly jasně viditelné obrovské plochy vinic a velké plochy lesů (eukalyptové a borovicové lesy). V roce 1934 byla dokončena stavba velmi důležitého díla pro hospodářský rozvoj regionu: přehrady Magos, největší hydrozemědělské přehrady, která kdy byla v zemi testována. Postupně byly vytvořeny nezbytné podmínky pro růst a udržitelný rozvoj lokality. A bylo velmi přirozené, že 31. prosince 1984 byla obec povýšena na farnost, což odpovídalo přání několika generací. Rozvoj zemědělství podpořil i další hospodářské oblasti, jako je chov dobytka, civilní zámečnictví, nábytkářský průmysl, tesařství, pekařství, keramika, stavebnictví a samotný obchod. V kulturní oblasti farnost také prezentuje relevantní aspekty, a to jak v oblasti dědictví, a to jak v oblasti dědictví, se svým mateřským kostelem a kostelem Várzea Fresca, tak v národopisné rovině s folklórním rančem Foros de Salvaterra, věrným šiřitelem tradic této země.
